Dear Friend,
This is a message of urgency and opportunity. Across the country, student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, are facing increasing threats to their ability to gather, govern themselves, and thrive on campus. The right to associate freely—a cornerstone of our democracy—is under pressure.
That’s why the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC) exists – the only federal political action committee dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of fraternity and sorority members nationwide – to support and preserve the Greek experience. Celebrating 20 years of advocacy and collaboration in 2025, FSPAC has been the voice of the fraternal movement in Washington DC., advocating for the rights, safety and leadership development of more than 750,000 undergraduates and millions of alumni across the country.
Our Mission
At FSPAC, we support candidates who believe in the enduring value of the fraternity and sorority experience, building character, cultivating leadership, and creating lifelong bonds. We work to ensure that this experience remains a vital and protected part of campus life – free from unfair restrictions, political pressure, and arbitrary administrative decisions.
Our Victories
Thanks to the support of donors like you, FSPAC has supported allies in Congress who played a critical role in key legislative victories, including:
- Passage of an Anti Hazing law, signed by President Biden.
- Preserving single-sex organizations on campus
- Protecting student housing through parity in federal tax treatment
- Defending due process rights for students in disciplinary proceedings
- Building bipartisan relationships with lawmakers who understand the positive impact of Greek life.
These successes are only possible because of the engagement and support of our community.
A New Challenge: Protecting Freedom of Association
Today, our fundamental rights are under threat. Across the country, student organizations – particularly fraternities and sororities – are facing policies that undermine their right to associate freely, choose their own members, and operate with integrity.
That’s why FSPAC is leading the charge for federal Freedom of Association legislation - a critical step to:
- Guarantee students’ First Amendment rights to gather and organize without undue interference.
- Protect the self-governance of student organizations, including the right to establish their own membership criteria.
- Ensure equal treatment of fraternities and sororities in campus policies and access.
We’re working hard to build support in Congress – but we can’t do it without your help.
